Accountability Partners

I was thinking about accountability partners. Now, I am not against being accountable to other Christians, by no means. I think this is a good way to grow and encourage each other. But I was thinking, what is it about this that keeps us in line? I think the answer is actually PRIDE! lol! For example, if I ask Christi to keep me accountable to excersize, and I know she is going to call me every day to ask me if I did it, then I will be sure to do it because I am too prideful to admit defeat. Is this a crazy thought or what?
